Reading together at Educare Orewa

BOOK MANIA

August is literacy and language month at Educare. Some of you may have seen our Little Library displayed in the over two space. Some of our Educare centres were part of the Little Library initiative last year and they were so well received by our centres that our owners Alan and Jackie Lints wanted to ensure that all Educare centres had one filled with some of Aotearoa's favourite stories. We decided to reveal ours as part of this month's focus around language and literacy.

Ngā tamariki have enjoyed reading the books with their teachers in the mornings and sitting alongside each other while discussing the stories and pictures. We are so grateful to have this beautiful library and are working very hard to take care of the books. We've loved sharing some of the NZ favourite classics with each other like... The Little Yellow Digger, My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes, Grandpa's Slippers and many more. We love reading together at Educare Orewa - thank you Alan and Jackie.
