Reading Together® at Wakefield School

Wakefield School first implemented the Reading Together® programme several years ago, and implemented another series of workshops this year.  For instance, an excerpt from the Wakefield School Newsletter 18 May 2022:

Reading Together® Programme is a Big Hit

Reading Together® is a New Zealand programme teaching parents how they can best support their child’s reading progress.  On Monday thirteen eager parents attended the first of four Reading Together® sessions hosted by our Community Partnership teacher, Mary McHale. Mary demonstrated good reading support strategies and answered questions, with the highlight being a reading ‘lesson’ with Hunter from Rm 11, an excellent presenter and entertaining reader - thanks Hunter!
